*TRIGGER WARNING*

I found out about a month ago that I was pregnant with my second child, we were so happy as we had been trying, I experienced the same symptoms as with my first, morning sickness, fatigue, food aversions, etc. I noticed that my symptoms seemed to go away and when I went to my first ultrasound yesterday we discovered that I am likely having a miscarriage. The sac appeared to be empty at first, then they found something which is believed to be the embryo but ... it only measured about 6 weeks and I was 8 1/2 weeks according to my last period. I have to go back for another ultrasound this week to confirm that it is a miscarriage. This has been very difficult, and my body has not shown any signs of miscarriage yet which makes it harder. The doctor said that I would be given the option of waiting for my body to pass it naturally, taking a pill, or having surgery (D&C) I know that we will discuss these options further when I go back, but I would like to know the benefits of each one? I feel like anything other than letting it happen naturally is giving up on my baby, similar to an abortion and I can't do that. I would love to hear from other moms that have been through this and what you chose. petite mother of the bride dresses
